The police are investigating a homicide in the Cashew Hill area.
The body of a 50-year-old woman was discovered inside her home at around 7.15 pm.
According to reports, the woman’s throat was slashed while her 21-year-old son was wounded.
The alleged perpetrator is said to be on the run.
It is said that the man is known to the law. He allegedly did jail time for stabbing the woman some time ago.
Anyone with information is being asked to call the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 3914.
