REAL NEWS: While school break-ins continue to occur across the island, a recent attempt at a government primary was unsuccessful.

Reports are that someone tried to break into the New Winthorpes Primary School by using a hard implement to pry open the deadbolt on a wooden window.

However, the attempt was unsuccessful, and the perpetrator left the compound empty-handed.

After the principal discovered that someone had tried to break into her office, she made a report to the Police.

Investigations are being conducted into the incident, which reportedly occurred between 4:50 p.m. on June 23 and 6:05 a.m. on June 24, at New Winthorpes.

A similar attempt to break into a private school in the Radio Range area, several weeks ago, was also thwarted. The intruder pried open an outer wooden shutter only to be greeted by burglar bars.

Subsequently, the person reportedly damaged a water tank on the compound before leaving the scene.
