Against the backdrop of the global pandemic, the Antigua and Barbuda Ministry of Tourism is focusing on strategic tourism goals to be achieved within the tourism industry during the next decade.
The Tourism Ministry is earmarking 2031 as a milestone year and is asking tourism stakeholders including the youth, to contribute to the tourism plan.
“VISION 2031 will be guided by the input of all stakeholders throughout Antigua and Barbuda. It will be the culmination of their thoughts, our engagements, and consultations as we work towards a common goal”, says Antigua and Barbuda Minister of Tourism and Investment, The Honourable Charles Fernandez.
Associations and representatives across various sectors within the tourism industry as well as interest groups have been asked to communicate their vision for how they would like to see Antigua and Barbuda’s Tourism develop by 2031.
“The intention is to communicate with as many persons as possible. We will review all proposals, as we look towards developing future tourism plans and policies, in collaboration with partners”, remarks the tourism minister.
Tourism stakeholders are invited to communicate in the first instance, their Vision 2031 to the Ministry of Tourism by sending their response on, ‘Where they would like to see Antigua and Barbuda’s Tourism by the year 2031’ to email [email protected] on or before December 30, 2021.
