Respect the Patrons Who Support Your Events!
It’s fete season here on our beautiful island of Antigua. I attended the annual Farmers Only event on Mother’s Day. Upon arriving at the first gate, I was checked by security.

Although I understand that security personnel must remain vigilant while performing their duties, it does not give them the right to be blatantly rude to patrons who paid their hard-earned money to attend these events.
I raised my concern with an agent at the second gate, where I was informed that multiple other patrons had complained about the same issue.
We attend these fetes to enjoy ourselves, not to be scolded or treated disrespectfully.
This also seems to be becoming a trend, so promoters, please speak with your security teams to ensure that patrons are treated with respect and professionalism.

Thats it???? Whats the issue so there can be balanced reasoning.
Antigua people like to complain about grocery prices, but always seem to find money for FETE.
Police and Security done know majority of patrons gonna get drunk and unruly so they’re stern and straight forward with y’all from the entrance….
These are tje same set of patrons that when things happen they complain .. let the security do their JOB.. its because of the hard work of Security you can go out to the event and have a nice time incident free
Maybe you should tell us what you were scolded about so we can determine if it was warranted or not.
Thanks,
Conrad
