The Pride of the Caribbean, LIAT20, touched down in the Spice Isle of the Caribbean earlier today for the first time.
The airline has officially added Grenada to its routes, completing its inaugural flight to the island earlier today.
The flight departed from Antigua, made a scheduled stop in St Lucia, and then touched down in Grenada, where a ceremony was held at the Maurice Bishop International Airport.
This expansion bolsters LIAT20’s presence in the Eastern Caribbean.
The airline currently offers flights to Antigua, St Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Dominica, and St Kitts and Nevis, with plans to continue adding other destinations to its network.

Well done to the Gaston Browne Administration. This such a good initiative for Antigua and Barbuda, really out us on the map in the Airline Industry.

Yeah it seemed that way. Rumour has it that, sometimes when stories are written they are squashed because of the politics. Remember it is owned by a UPP Minister.
But rally, who is the owner of the newspaper and who is its editor? Don’t the people have a right to know?
What’s the delay in starting service to St. Vincent and Barbados?
It’s fantastic to see LIAT20 expanding its routes and offering flights to so many beautiful destinations like Antigua, St Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Dominica, and St Kitts and Nevis! This is such a great step for Caribbean travel. I really hope they consider adding Trinidad and Tobago to their network soon and other Caribbean islands—imagine the connections and experiences that would open up! Looking forward to seeing what’s next for LIAT20!
Congratulations to people of Antigua and Barbuda for the great vision to keep Liat alive.
Folks remember, this is not a government operated airline. And therefore soon we will know if the islands will be putting their money where their mouth is. Because LIAT will not fly to destinations that are not profitable. That era is over. No more free lunches. You cannot call any politician to ask for a favor.
