Liberta Vehicle Owner Appeals for Help After Alleged Car Parts Theft Captured on Camera A Liberta resident is appealing to the public for help identifying individuals seen in security footage removing parts from a vehicle outside a home.
The vehicle owner, who shared the footage, said the incident has left residents on edge and warned that cars in the area may not be safe.
“People cars are not safe with these people,” the individual said, adding that the men were seen taking car parts and walking away with them.
The footage, captured by a home surveillance system, shows individuals moving along a roadway near a fenced property. In one clip, a man appears to be carrying a tire and rim.
The resident said the matter has been reported and urged anyone who may recognize the individuals to contact the Liberta Police Station at 562-6090, or reach out directly with information.
“Just watch the man walking with the tire and rim like it’s his,” the person added.
Police have not yet issued an official statement on the incident.
The appeal has prompted responses from members of the public, with some claiming to have seen similar activity elsewhere.
