The sixth homicide for 2023 is being investigated by the Police, as a search for the perpetrators continues. This latest killing involves Lance “Lenny” Williams, 37, of Parham, and follows three weeks of fatal shootings and a stabbing.
According to reports, Williams was shot in the vicinity of the Parham Primary School while he was on the nearby playing field. It is alleged that, at about 10 p.m. on Saturday night, September 2, a motorcar drove onto the said field. One of the occupants reportedly alighted from the vehicle and opened fire, hitting Williams multiple times, and then the vehicle is said to have sped off.
Williams was rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he underwent emergency surgery. However, he succumbed to his injuries shortly before 6 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Two years ago, the Police had charged Williams with attempted murder after a wounding incident that took place September 17, 2021.
He had been accused of wounding Tyrone Monroe, 41 – another Parham resident – with a sharp object during an altercation in that town.
Williams had fled the scene after the incident, but had surrendered at the Parham Police Station a few days later, accompanied by his attorney.
Meanwhile, members of the community and Williams’ family reportedly are shocked by his killing and are calling for answers. However, the circumstances that led to his death are not clear at this time.
Of the six homicides that have taken place this year, only one accused has been arrested: Kareem Simon, 42, of Green Bay.
Simon fatally stabbed 66-year-old Dennis Edwards of Bolans during an altercation on Monday night, August 21, on Lower All Saints Road. He is now on remand at His Majesty’s Prison and will return to court for committal proceedings on November 29.

This is crazy
Dude has a whole attempted murder charge and people are shocked that he’s dead now smh
Because the entire village knows the inside story with that, however what’s amazing is how little interest is shown in finding the murderers or even a follow up story on this, like just asking the police if they have any leads
What happen to the youth that killed the megoman isn’t he remanded also?
