Venezuelan national, Danllanys Andrade Ruze pleaded guilty to a charge of death by dangerous driving in the High Court.
Ruze was involved in a collision that led to the death of his friend Joelvis Roa in 2017.
The defendant was driving a car on All Saints Road when he collided with another vehicle.
Roa, who had been a passenger in the car Ruze was driving, succumbed to injuries from the crash.
Sentencing for this matter is set for next month.
