Labour rights and political change will share the spotlight at a public rally on Thursday evening in Gray’s Farm, organised by the United Progressive Party (UPP) and the Antigua and Barbuda Workers Union (ABWU).
The One Mission rally, held on the eve of Labour Day, will highlight workers’ concerns and calls for better governance.
Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle says the event aims to support workers while rallying against the Gaston Browne administration.
Union leaders, UPP officials, and activists will address the crowd. The public is urged to attend in solidarity.

I don’t know why it is the ABWU wants to pretend that they are not in bed with the UPP and therefore they just their political arm. Nothing else.
ABWU is IN BED WITH HOTELIERS!!!!! They dont give a shit about hospitality workers! looking forward to hospitality workers forming their own union, just like the teachers!
What a WICKED, USELESS, CORRUPT, INCOMPETENT, GREEDY, STALE “union”
Time that we understand that all over the Caribbean we have a centrist political system that favors the business sector over the work force or the indigents, only in Cuba and Venezuela and china it’s a socialist system of equality. So don’t be disappointed, haven’t you heard both UPP and ALP tout more hotels and foreign ownership of the economy that is extractive?
Misery loves company! Why do the they feel it necessary to inform the nation of a spectacle that has been the norm for years????? From the Blue Tidal Wave to the much advertised Blue Tsunami these desperate clansmen are at it again, and will.fail again! Chuptz!
