The mother of a seven-year-old boy who escaped an abduction attempt said he is traumatized following the ordeal.

Kirah Martin has also given more details about the incident which also involved her 10-year-old cousin.

She said it was just before 7 p.m. the two boys headed to a place in Jennings for pizza, five minutes walk from home.

“On their way, the said man pulled up in a white car and starting charging towards them with his head down.”

When the two boys noticed the suspicious looking man was approaching them, they ran and the stranger gave chase.

But the two were fast enough, “they ran through a dirt road and run in my friend house.”

Martin told Antigua News Room, the boys came home crying while they related the terrifying experience.

She said her brother immediately went in search of the vehicle but the man fled the scene.

The mother is lamenting how unsafe communities are becoming for children.
