 VACANCY NOTICE ASSET MANAGEMENT OFFICER

Suitably qualified persons are invited to apply to fill the post of Asset Management Officer at the Eastern Caribbean Asset Management Corporation (ECAMC), headquartered in Antigua and Barbuda.

The ECAMC was established by the member Governments of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) in response to the increase in non-performing loans (NPLs) in the commercial banking sector.  The statutory purposes of the ECAMC are to:

  • Carry on the business of asset management, including acquiring the whole or part of, dealing with, managing, and disposing of assets or liabilities of approved financial institutions in an expeditious manner; and
  • Act as the receiver for a financial institution whenever appointed by the Central Bank under the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) Agreement and the Banking Act.

The successful candidate will be based in Antigua and Barbuda.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Asset Management Officer will provide strong support to the Manager, Asset Acquisition, Recoveries and Management in the acquisition, management, and recovery of assets. This role involves maintaining relationships across the organization and with external parties to ensure effective decision-making and alignment between corporate policy and asset management.

Key and Critical Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and updating policy frameworks for asset acquisition and resolution.
  • Preparing Action Development Plans (ADP) for asset pricing.
  • Evaluating debtor business plans and financial statements.
  • Conducting due diligence and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assisting in the implementation of management and resolution strategies for Non-Performing Loans (NPLs).
  • Marketing collateral properties for sale and managing customer service interactions.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong financial background with experience in financial analysis.
  • Relevant experience in data analysis and outcome reporting.
  • Experience in loan underwriting and business development processes.

APPLICANTS SHOULD ALSO HAVE:

  • Proven experience in Asset Management or a similar role.
  • Training in strategic asset management.
  • Understanding of the roles of key groups, teams, and committees in asset management governance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and industry-related software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.

COMPENSATION

Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants are also invited to indicate their minimum and average compensation package expectations.  All compensation will be in Eastern Caribbean Dollars.
