ST. JOHN’S, Antigua — Two teenagers have been killed in what residents believe was a drive-by shooting in Villa on Thursday, in an incident that has left the community in shock.
The victims have been identified as Omari Lewis and Brianna Clark, who were reportedly in a relationship. Both died from injuries sustained during the shooting.
Police and Emergency Medical Services were on the scene when Antigua.news arrived, as officers processed the area and responders attended to the aftermath.
A crowd gathered nearby, with several residents visibly shaken as news of the killings spread.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the circumstances surrounding the incident. Investigations are ongoing.

This is another senseless killing of two youths whose lives were cut short for reasons unknown to us at this time. We need to find ways of solving our differences rather than resorting to violence of any kind. My heart goes out to the grieving families at this time.

This is yet another reason why we must get functional cameras installed on our roadways as a matter of urgency. Unlike manual patrols, surveillance cameras operate continuously without breaks, providing consistent surveillance, particularly in high-risk zones and communities. If these murderers got away in a vehicle, cameras at strategic areas could have helped to identify and capture them. The installation of cameras ought to be a national priority at this time.

Yet more senseless killings in Antigua. Just the other day (yesterday I believe) I commented on a murder that took place in All Saints and within 36 hours now this drive by shooting of two innocent teenagers.
