Trinidad Leads Trade Mission to Antigua and Barbuda to Boost Non-Energy Exports

To boost non-energy exports, the T&T Manufacturers Association (TTMA) will lead a private sector delegation on a trade mission to Antigua and Barbuda from November 28 to December 1, 2023.

The delegation, led by Dr. Mahindra Ramdeen, TTMA’s CEO, consists of 14 companies spanning various sectors such as transportation, logistics, printing, banking, apparel, chemicals, construction, food, and more.

Antigua and Barbuda, a significant trading partner, has been a consistent top market for T&T’s non-energy exports within CARICOM.

Notably, T&T has maintained a trade surplus with Antigua and Barbuda from 2020 to 2022, primarily exporting items like beverages, toilet paper, flour, cereals, tobacco, and ice cream.

The TTMA sees ample opportunities for import and export between the two markets, given Antigua and Barbuda’s appeal and its CARICOM membership.
