LIAT 1974 suffered from the same problems… delays and cancellations.
But Caribbean airlines needs to get its act together. Be honest with its customer’s and the public.
It’s so much of a Caribbean thing to use nebulous terms like “resource constraints”. Frankly that’s like adding insult to injury.
I was a bit surprised when Guyana issued such stern warnings including a threat to pull their license. It now appears the Guyanese authorities were justified.
I’m hoping Caribbean Airlines get their act together.
Certainly aircraft’s are available for leasing; license pilots are presumably sitting at home.
FAA license Machanic are available, parts are available even thought at exorbitant cost.
Only thing left is lack of working capital.
Seems they are not long before approaching the same boat as LIAT.
Are you sure its Caribbean Airlines the Guyanese government threatened ?

The airline being threatened with possible sanction is interCaribbean Airways a privately-owned and operated airline, headquartered in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
