The Queen tests positive for COVID

The Queen has tested positive for Covid, Buckingham Palace has said.

The palace said the monarch is experiencing “mild cold-like symptoms” but expects to continue “light duties” at Windsor over the coming week.

“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines,” the palace said in a statement.

The Queen, 95, had been in contact with her eldest son and heir, the Prince of Wales, who tested positive last week.

The announcement comes weeks after the Queen became the UK’s longest reigning monarch, reaching her Platinum Jubilee of 70 years on 6 February.

She carried out her first major public engagement for more than three months on the eve of her Jubilee, meeting charity workers at Sandringham House.

  1. Heir to what . They need to stop this monarchy bullshit
These people never work hard a day in their life.
Another one born is a Princess or a Prince and still bowing to them unbelievable

    • Yes… stop this “monarchy bullshit”.
The GOVERNOR GENERAL must grow a spine and stop bowing to the throne and begin to serve the PEOPLE who are the TRUE source of ALL political power.

The GG should dissolve this current fraudulent government and allow the people to form a NEW government that serves ALL the people and structured in a way of their own choosing.

  2. How is this HEADLINE news? Is this woman Antiguan? 🤔

This ANR article should be in the regional news – WHO IS SHE?

  3. Lord, give her another 20 years. I can’t imagine cranky old Charles and his mistress (now wife) at the helm. Antigua will surely become a republic under his “kingship”. God bless Elizabeth II, Queen of Antigua and Barbuda, and Head of State. She’ll likely be the last royal to reign over this beautiful land.

  4. … Oh, and by the way, we were all told from the beginning that if we got VACCINATED we wouldn’t get Covid-19 – GO FIGURE!

  5. Wishing her a speedy recovery. Given her age, it can be a dicey situation. Whether or not we believe in the monarchy, she has fulfilled her duties with grace and dignity, and has been blessed with a long life.
I am sure she has been doubly vaccinated, plus a booster. Will someone please develop a real vaccine that works and stop jabbing people with some money making experiment.
