A 43-year-old man died Saturday morning from gunshot wounds sustained in an attack outside his home, police said.
Louis Armstrong Jr. was shot early Friday as he exited his vehicle at his Fort Road residence.
He suffered multiple injuries to the head, chest, eyes and left hand and was rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where medical staff worked through the night to keep him alive.
He died around 7:24 a.m. Saturday, and the case has been upgraded to a murder investigation. Police are urging anyone with information to contact them.
Armstrong’s death has shaken the community, with relatives and neighbours describing it as yet another tragic sign of rising gun violence.

Since when it’s the Government fault for the crimes in this country. Every one have freedom of choice it seems to me that we blame the Government for everything that happened. We are to be our brothers keepers if we see something say something that is the only crime will end. Persons are not willing to let go and move on the must be jury and executioner. My deepest condolences to the family.

The government has not done a good job in their efforts to stem the tidal wave of crime taking over the country.

@ Born and bred Antiguan. In some aspects you’re correct. However we are our brothers keepers. Yes the government has to put certain things in place to battle the crime situation. Yes they are not doing an adequate job at it. But what are we as citizens of this land doing? What are we as BORN AND BRED ANTIGUAN doing? We say we want good or better for our country but yet still we shield our brothers, nephews, uncle, and sons instead of calling out the stupidness that they do and involved in. But yet still blame the government and call them all kinds of names. If we want change let us be the change Start with the person in the mirror. Stand up for what is right for the country and not for color or party.
