A man died early Friday after his vehicle crashed on Friar’s Hill Road, police said.
Preliminary reports indicate the driver’s car came into contact with an animal before veering off the road.
Emergency responders confirmed the man did not survive the impact.
Authorities have not yet released his identity, and no further details were immediately available.

Condolences to the family for the lost. It is time the government and agriculture regulate laws on livestock owners who have their animals roaming around especially in the dark. After a certain time during dusk the livestock should be secured. All live stock that have the ability to roam should be branded or tagged so police and regulators will know who it belong to and ticket them for nuisance. If you want Antigua and Barbuda to be better then we have to have better practices and regulations. I am sure if it was a white or nonblack tourist in this situation then action would take place immediately.

Sad that a young life is list in a tragic way. Young people ( both men and women) need to drive with more caution. The vehicles today are made of plastic and the younger folks are using them as microwaves… driving them FAST! That area has a “funny bend,” with several tragic accident occuring in that vicinity. Drivers need to be cautious how they maneuver on that particular piece of road. Mr/Mrs Editor, what is the “driver’s car?” Please take your time and edit properly before printing.
