Swetes Basketball Court, MP Pringle says he is pushing ahead with resurfacing project

Efforts by Jamale Pringle, Leader of the Opposition and MP for All Saints East and St. Luke, to have the Government resurface the Swetes Basketball Court have, so far, proven futile.

Pringle says the sport facility has been out of commission for almost a decade, preventing residents from being able to practice and hone their skills.

Since the current Administration appears not to be interested in resurfacing the court, the MP says he has undertaken to get it done, himself, for the benefit of his constituents.

Meanwhile, Pringle is anticipating some level of pushback from the Government for this new venture.

Given that this is an election season, he expects that everything will be done to frustrate his efforts, although they are for the development of the constituency and the people who live there.

Pringle has already undertaken a number of projects in his constituency, including the construction of a public restroom at Morris Bay; the resurfacing of roads; and the cleaning of drains. — REAL News
