Sunday’s tear gassing of residents has left Lovell sad and disappointed
United Progresisve Party (UPP) Political Leader Harold Lovell said Sunday’s incident in which people were tear gassed and rubber-bulleted has left him sad, mad and disappointed.
Lovell said freedom of assembly is a constitutional right, which ought not to be suppressed.
He made the remarks on Observer Radio over the weekend.
The UPP Political Leader said he was particularly disappointed in Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney.
Lovell also believes Prime Minister ‘is the ultimate culprit’ in Sunday’s tear gassing incident.
Meantime, Browne says tear gas was only option available to police to disperse crowd.
