UPDATE: Market Street Stabbing victim in critical condition

Two men are nursing stab wounds in the wake of separate incidents on Saturday.

A mid-afternoon attack on Lower Market Street has left one man in serious condition.

The circumstances leading to the attack are not immediately clear, but police have launched an investigation.

The incident caused a stir during the hive of Saturday commerce.

Earlier, another man was rushed to hospital following a stabbing in the Heritage Quay area.

It’s understood the 24 year old victim from Clarks Hill was attacked by three assailants, who inflicted a wound to the left side of the head.

His injury is not considered life-threatening.

A man is in police custody and is being questioned in relation to the incident.

  1. I say bring back hanging and the cat whip immediately, the stabbing and shooting would stop, but as the law stands there’s no deterrent for these off the wall young people.
    Sending them to prison is no deterrent for them.

  2. Antigua4ever you said it and I’ve been saying it since the storm, “no deterrent”. The punishment is laughable to these people. High daylight on our main street and then in the heart of our Tourist district. One has to be an idiot, very brave, just don’t care a dam about the justice system, or is truly a Badman and a Badman may be disciplined by “hanging or cat whip”.
