Prisoner charged with stabbing prison officer seven times

An inmate at the Her Majesty’s Prison (HMP) who allegedly stabbed a prison officer about seven times on April 19, has been charged.

 

The police revealed that Rashawn Shabazz was charged with the unlawful and malicious wounding of the corrections officer on April 24.

 

At the time of the incident, Acting Superintendent of Prisons, Jermaine Anthony disclosed to our newsroom that the wounds were inflicted in the officer’s back and arms using a make-shift weapon.

 

The officer, however, was not severely injured.-OMG
