It is sad I know to always bring politics into these things. But one cannot but wonder what it would be like had the UPP gain power in 2023. This would then be the headline. “Prime Minister Jamal Pringle Engages in Key High-Level Discussions on the margins of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Apia, Samoa”. Can anyone visualize that? That is a scary picture.
CAIRICOM Head of States should be pooling resources together when they have to travel to meetings at such long distances. A chartered flight to Samoa would cost at least US$75K and given the size of the plane would accommodate at least 100 passengers. It would be a direct flight and no one will have to fly first to the USA overnight before they can continue their travel to Samoa. And remember the flight to Somoa leave from Los Angelos. But then again security protocol may dictate that it is not wise for so many heads travel together incase of a WSC.
