Responding to concerns about escalating costs and decreasing valuation, Prime Minister Browne clarified the government’s stance on the superyacht, which is estimated to be worth between US$45 million and US$50 million.

“Every cent that the government spends on that yacht, we will recover,” Browne confidently stated, suggesting a possible financial “windfall” from the eventual sale of the vessel.

The discussion in Parliament arose amid questions regarding how much the government was willing to invest in the yacht, with some members worried about the balance between expenditures and the yacht’s depreciating value.

Browne dismissed these concerns, indicating that the financial outlay was a calculated risk with the potential for substantial returns. He assured that the government was not looking at a long-term financial drain.

“Clearly, this thing is not going to drag on for 10, 20, or 30 years,” he remarked, emphasizing the yacht’s “commercial value” significantly exceeds the earlier quoted figures.

The Prime Minister also updated the legislative body on the legal status concerning the ALFA Nero.

He mentioned that a crucial injunction had been lifted, paving the way for the government to proceed with its plans. The case regarding the yacht’s sale and the application of its proceeds is set to be heard in the coming months.

“We are making significant progress,” Browne concluded, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to managing this asset efficiently.

So if you believe Ukraine should surrender, then you also believe that their shouldn’t be any sanctions levied against these Russian businessman, no?

So just give the man back his damn yacht and have have him pay you your fees. This will not end well Gatson, because there are mix opinions on this war against Ukraine, and which ever way you put it, the Russians have long long memories..so you better watch your damn self messing with this man’s money.

  3. The strategy to collect all we have spent is to tax the citizens of the country at any means necessary

  4. Its these simple math that UPP cannot do, why they should ask questions as this. Just take the value of the Yacht at any time and divide this by the monthly expenses and it will tell you how many month it will before all over maintenance funds have reach the force sale value. Example if the force sale value is USD 50million than divide that by 28000 and the answer is there.
But these guys cannot help themselves. They just inept.

  5. I am convinced that this fool is so full of himself he has lost touch with reality long ago. Perhaps we underestimated the side effects of Risperdal. Maybe “prone to delusions” is somewhere on the package insert.
This Alpha Nargo thing will not end well, but greed is a strong adversary.
