A brief Ceremony was held at the Potters Crèche` yesterday (Tuesday) to hand over a set of valuable items to the government-run daycare facility.

The gifts, which included a 49 inch-flat screen television, floor padding, food items and toys, were made possible through the Potters Progressive Society (PPS) which comprises a group of individuals from the Potters community who now resides in the Tri-State area of the United States.

Mr. Norman Joseph, who spoke in the absence of Dane Martin on behalf of the group, said that they were again delighted to make this presentation having done a similar gesture last year.

Parliamentary Representative for St. George, the Hon. Dean Jonas who was in attendance at the short ceremony, was very pleased with the gesture and said that it is important to build educational resources for children from an early age.

He commended all members of the group for their focus and the St. George’s MP also used the opportunity to encourage Potters Villagers all over the world to make similar contributions to the continued upliftment of their village.

District Nurse at the Potters Clinic and Crèche`, Josephine Williams was also very appreciative of the items received.
