POTTER’S MAN HOSPITALIZED WITH LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda — Monday, April 21, 2025

A 31-year-old resident of Potters is currently hospitalized at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center, nursing life-threatening injuries.

It was reported that around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, Josh Charles was walking along Burlin Main Road in Potters Extension when an unknown assailant sprayed him with a hazardous substance.

He suffered severe injuries to multiple areas of his body, including his face, eyes, chest, back, arms, and legs, and he is reported to be in critical condition.

The police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the perpetrator to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or call the Crimestoppers Hotline at 800-TIPS (8477).

  18. There is too much evil in Antigua. Almost every day more evil happens are reporting than good. We need a week or month of revival in the country. Satan is being given too much ground in the country, especially through young people. Parents and grandparents turn from your wicked ways and pray for your children and grandchildren. Antiguan and Barbuda belong to Jesus Christ. He alone is Lord of the land. This also goes to me as a parent myself.

  21. Generally these types of attacks are personal by nature, or Antigua has a psychopath loose. If it’s the latter, if he’s not caught immediately, it will happen again and turned serial.

  22. The time mentioned about the occurrence of the incident is so wrong.. It happened close to mid-day. He was just returning from the supermarket with a few items to prepare for a late breakfast, when he was approached from behind by the young man who attacked him and sprayed him with an acid.
    I received a Whatsapp call shortly after 12:00 pm, and the police was already on the scene.
    The EMS was also on their way.
    Please get it right. Every bit right now hurts. Don’t add to my pain.
