A local politician is busy trying to ensure that people do not come out to vote in Thursday’s United Progressive Party St.Peter Primary, well placed sources within the branch have told ANR.
According to our source who is on the campaign team of one of the three contenders, the politician obtained a list of the members of the branch expected to vote in tomorrow’s primary.
The individual who allegedly provided the politician with the list is under investigation.
The politician is allegedly using that list to identify individuals for the purposes of treating and bribery.
His actions are reportedly geared towards preventing the candidacy of the front-runner Tevaughn ‘Peter Redz’ Harriette. It is believed that the national footballer stands the best chance of winning the seat from incumbent member of parliament Asot Michael.
Three individuals, Colin Isaac, Chaneil Jackson Imhoff, and Tevaughn “Peter Redz” Harriette are hoping the represent the UPP as candidate for St.Peter in the next general election.

Like the way they have tried to swing the dialogue since the same candidate a few weeks ago felt the need to claim he is not a trojan horse. Interestingly the accusation comes from those within the UPP camp. Fact is trojan horses tend to be placed during the contest (new membership). Deep rooted traitors tend to more be labeled judases than trojan horse. “Reds” really sounding like a complainer because if you crying now against mostly unknown contenders, what happens when you come face to face with goliath who tends to knock our persons before the bell even sounds

UPP sound like one bad ass outfit. IF there really is “bribery” involved, as alleged above, that would be illegal and jail time is necessary.
Political bribery has been going on in Antigua and Barbuda for years. Do you ever heard anyone goes to jail for it? It is a normal behavior pattern practice in the country starting from the head.
