Two in Police Custody for Alleged Praedial Larceny

As the police continue intensifying their efforts to assist farmers against the theft of agricultural produce and livestock, two people were arrested and taken into custody Thursday on allegations of Praedial Larceny.

A farmer, who operates his farm in the Bathlodge area reported to the police that two people were spotted on his farm allegedly stealing sweet tamarind.

The police responded to the report and two residents of Bendals were taken into custody. Further investgations are ongoing.

On Wednesday the police arrested and charged Denris Josiah and Jamal Willock of Old Road for allegedly stealing 400 lemons from a farm in Old Road. The matter is still before the court.
