Police investigating incident at CHSS

There are multiple reports of an incident at the Clare Hall Secondary School.

According to unconfirmed reports, two masked men, armed  with cutlasses entered the school allegedly  in search of a student.

The incident created an uproar the school with several children contacting their parents to indicate that they were frightened.

Police were called to the school which reportedly ended early. ANR cannot confirm that one student was injured.

Sources say the violence stems from a long running feud. Questions are now being raised about the level of security at the learning institution.

One mother told the ANR that her daughter called her traumatised from the ordeal which she observed.

  1. What the hell is going on in Antigua? There should be armed Police at that School.This is not the first time. I have read where things happened at that School.If you had an armed Cop they would think twice before doing such ignorance.

    • So an armed law enforcement officer should be in place at every school in antigua. Operating as a security guard . Instead of executing police duties. Okay makes sense effective use of manpower .

      • @ was it abuse: There are more than enough damn Police Officers in Antigua to post one at those high problem schools.My guess you would rather see children getting maimed by a law breaker.

    • This is the same thing I am saying the devil is at work we need protection for our kids police them need to start patrolling the school and them make sure everyone I’d safe and secure.

  3. Wow…This was not happening when PRAYERS was mandatory every morning. Did they follow USA in getting rid of that too? 🤔

    • This is such a lazy “solution.” These rehearsed and contrived, “Lord, we thank Thee” robotic prayers aren’t doing a thing and cannot do a thing.

  4. Sad, also, Security alone cannot handle these jobs, law enforcement is also needed for a high level of safety.
