Acting on received information, officers conducted an operation in Bendals on November 27 at 2:39 p.m.
A black Toyota Vitz, registered A60709, was stopped, leading to the discovery of a modified flare gun with ammunition. The driver was arrested for suspected firearm possession.
Later that day, a white Toyota Axio, registered R4114, occupied by two Bathlodge men, was stopped and searched in the same area. Although nothing illegal was found, both occupants were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
Search warrants executed after 5 p.m. at the suspects’ homes yielded no significant findings.
