My dear inhabitants:
Citizens and residents
Of the unitary state of Antibuda,
Even those stuck here awaiting visas to Canada,
As you once more ditch our national holiness
To embrace our cultural greatness;
As you prepare to revel,
Merrily travel
The route to sweet misbehaving,
Be mindful that Wednesday morning
You resume your national grinding
Christian duties and normal whining
As you prepare to celebrate bacchanal
The essence of our carnival,
Which was initially
Our emancipation jubilee
It would be remiss of me to not mention
The great diversion—
The disregard of history—
The three-sixty degree
Turning back of the hands of the clock,
The catwalk back to the auction block:
The parade of Nubian flesh
Adorned with only sequins and mesh
However, as you get set to parade your great assets
Strut your ample volumes without corsets,
Bare as you dare
In your Monday and Tuesday wear,
I must say I’m dazzled by the creative options
The range in bikini bottoms.
Moreover, every alternative for topless,
I must confess,
Seems artistically scintillating
Quite titillating,
Such anatomically perfect fits…
Nice tits!
Culture lovers and practitioners
Johnny-come-latelies and agitators
We have come a long way
Far from the tribulations of yesterday
Today, we stand tall on strong shoulders,
We enjoy the labour of our selfless elders
Who fought hard against injustice
House niggers and prejudice
So let us celebrate their bravery
Undaunted spirit and tenacity
In magnificent splendour
And unrestrained grandeur
Nevertheless, I admonish you
To be true
To yourself, your crew
Be astute in whatever you do

For we’ve had enough worries
With rogue cops and sad stories.
Look out for each other
And be your brother’s keeper.
