Browne Commits to Accelerated Development in All-Saints West Constituency
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda – Prime Minister Gaston Browne has given his government’s commitment to accelerate development in the All-Saints West Constituency. This pledge came shortly after Anthony Smith, the MP for that constituency, took his oath as the new Minister of Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries, and the Blue Economy.
“The All-Saints West constituency will be given significant priority in terms of addressing the infrastructural needs and other needs of the people of that constituency,” Browne declared.
Prime Minister Browne expressed his confidence in the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) administration, emphasizing its unique blend of youth and experience.
“Clearly, the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party administration is the most equipped administration to govern the country at this time, an administration that has a mixture of youth and experience,” Browne said. “So you have a significant amount of institutional knowledge to rely upon, and we expect you to be one of the shining stars in this country’s future.”
Browne highlighted the strategic importance of attracting young, capable talent to the ABLP, noting Smith’s potential to contribute significantly to the government’s initiatives. He praised Smith’s transition from a toxic political environment to a more stable and supportive one within the ABLP, where he could better serve his constituents. “This transition allows Smith to utilize his potential fully and align with the values of transparency, accountability, and good governance that our administration upholds,” Browne added.
In his remarks, Browne assured that Smith would receive the necessary guidance and mentorship to develop his political career. He committed to prioritizing the development of the All-Saints West constituency, ensuring that Smith’s constituents benefit from improved infrastructure and resources.

Seems like Gaston Browne wants Antigua & Barbuda to become a one-party state, just like his pals in the Republic of China 🇨🇳
Our future democracy and Sovereignty is now at stake, and explains the ABLP’S visit in recent times to China – it all makes sense now!
I never really understood the influx before, but I do now!
A ONE-PARTY STATE INCOMING. WOW!!!
Question is the primary in ASW to select a caregiver in August still going to take place.

The UPP need to do some serious Introspection. And failing to so, rather then to look for faults in the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party will simply means the party will implode. Not all the members that left went to the Labour Party. Some are not willing to find refuge there. But that’s OK. There are many different ways one can serve the country.
Whose next to leave UPP island cas this is now becoming surviving UPP ……..Politriks has bcome a dammm clown show now and it’s even more clearer Gaston intends to buyout his competitor at all cost
When UPP candidates can’t get their way or what they feel they are entitled too THEY DEFECT to the same party they vehemently dispize ….
Resign july15 swear in as minister for ALP while you won on a UPP ticket and voters to trust you in a next election …. All in 24 hrs
At this point voters should STOP vote
No grace period between resignation and installation
Now voters see even more clearer they ALP is now more than ever an enrichment program and YOU CAN BE BOUGHT
SHAME ON THE VOTERS
In a democracy one has freedom of association. But I guess some would like to see that freedom curtail because it doesn’t benefit them. Since January 2023 after the election when it was clear that ABLP had just one vote more. The UPP was hoping on the demise of in particular one member from Saint Philips North in order for them to have another shot at claiming the majority in Parliament and thereby bringing down the Gaston Browne government. Now it seem like the table has turned. It is the PM that can call by-election in St. Philips North if he wants to. Cause with the independent candidate he now can count on 10 parliamentary votes. The leadership of the UPP will now be taking Lie Detector Test from all their members to ensure they will not backstab the party. And perhaps sign and oath to that as well. The top of the party is not going to change their ways that easily. It will take one with BALLS to make a bold move to change the party from the path it is going. Gaston did that against Lester and I was one that was very hurt. But hindsight it turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to the ABLP. And he is till reforming the party. Ensuring the old guard make room for the young talented leaders to take the party forward. I still cannot see which one of them will take over from Gaston Browne. But then again, I never saw Gaston Browne as any leader whatsoever when he joined the party. So who knows what the futures holds. Only Jah Jah knows.

Brixtonian. You know that even in a ONE party system their is democracy. Because the members and the leaders are chosen by the voting members in the Party. And to join the party you will have to be voted in by the people. Those are all democratic processes. Do not confuse Communism with Dictatorship. Maybe we need that form of Democracy so that we do not have to always break down what another person has build, but rather build on what others have built. We have been practicing this Westminster Style of government four decades, and though we have made some progress it was sometime painful to see we made one step forward and two steps backwards. It is very difficult almost to impossible to get everyone to work towards the same goal and the same vision. Singapore whom many reference as a success story had to go to extreme measures almost mounting to dictatorship in order to have that achieved. I do not think we would want that. Yet i my humble opinion that may be the only way we can progress. China although communistic is another example of a country lifting up themselves from being a third world country to one of the most successful economies in the word. China makes more billionaires in a month than any other country. If Cuba wasn’t sanctioned by the USA they also would have demonstrated to us that their system of governance is best. Believe you me, I am to rebellious to live in such systems. The choice between to evils, democracy/capitalism is still for me the better of the two evils. Let me point out that the early Apostles lived in Communion
Acts 2:45 In-Context
43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.
44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.
45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

Many Nowadays Christians like to portray Communism as something bad. But when it comes to reading and understand this scripture it clearly speaks of Communism.
@Less We Forget
The “communism” in the Bible was amongst people who all believed and practiced the same thing. Communism with the wider society would be a problem because there would be no guarantee that the people in charge would be implementing policies that support your preferred way of life, beliefs etc. So, that sort of broad communism can become oppressive because people may be forced to live contrary to their beliefs. It would be nice if Christians actually did team up with one another to form neighbourhoods, businesses etc. They would be more successful at meeting needs as opposed to just giving handouts. They could still give handouts to non-Christians etc. Same for other like-minded groups. Basically that would be a State system such as found in the US where each state has its own moral values. The issue is when the central or federal government tries to pick a side and then force those values on the entire population without their permission. Certain things should be left to different communities to decide for themselves in keeping with their own value system. So, no, full communism can’t work, but some shared social services are useful.
Question: is the primary in ASW to select a caregiver in August still going to take place?
The obvious answer to that is NO.
He already got what he wanted. Lamin and Regis, now you see why he was holding back the primary.
Gaston Browne, you have to be more mindful about how you use and discard people like tissue paper.
While it is true that those two young men jump and fetch at your command, there is just so much that a person can take. You believe you are so powerful now that you did’t have to care how you treat other people.
Stop it, Gaston Browne. It is not too late to stop it.
