The Cabinet says it was updated on the plans for the Global Anti-Plastics Concert, scheduled for June 1, 2019.
Machel Montano and Ashanti are expected to headline the concert. The event will be carried live around the world, and it is expected that reporters will arrive before the event to report on Antigua and Barbuda’s beauty and progressive environmental policies.
It has been ordered that no plastic forks, plastic spoons, plastic cups, plastic bottles or other disposable plastic-ware are to be utilized by vendors and others during the concert.
Further, a clean-up of all plastics from public spaces is to be intensified.
Antigua and Barbuda was chosen for the venue of this global concert because of the Government’s forward-looking policies that are greatly admired by all countries.
