For two leased used jet planes AIR PEACE supposedly owns 70% of LIAT(2020) while:
Antigua takes over $60 million with Caribbean Development Bank plus another $20 to rebuild and certify existing planes owned by LIAT (1974) for a total of $80 million investment by Antigua who only owns 20% of LIAT(2020)
It’s a proud moment for those who has the kickback ownership that Air Peace is holding for them in the 70%
supposedly that Air Peace owns

You might not see the business sense but whoever cuts and closes the deal surely understands what’s going on. The truth will eventually be revealed when the court case is heard between the Antigua Government and the Nigerian Partners who are suing for their shares. We will know who is the shareholder of the 20% that was never mentioned previously.

What a glorious day it was to be part of the making of HISTORY. I wonder when we will acknowledge and give this man called Gaston Alphonso Browne his flowers. Cause he has earned them ten times over.
Here we are at a point in time when his Caribbean colleagues were trying to kill LIAT and take all the aviation business from Antigua and Barbuda. But he stood strong and try to save LIAT 1974. And in his foresight he incorporated a company called it LIAT 2020. But the road was not easy. Cause even at home the opposition accused him of beating a dead horse. And today we see the result of the hard work and steadfast determination of a man that is not like any other. That is why he is successful in whatever he does. He stays the course in everything he does. No matter what they put on his way. Mia, Ralph and Keith must be very upset now. Having tried everything to make him fail. Even bringing in other airline to take up the space left behind by LIAT 1974. The latest move was for CAL to purchase more planes and place them on the route of LIAT 1974. This was to stop LIAT 2020 from even considering to fly. But Gaston was not daunted by all of that. The bigger Islands always want to take the little fish out of our mouth. Only them should eat. But not with our fighter and exemplary leader. Who always is standing up for Antigua and Barbuda. And can you believe it, the opposition cannot rejoice with this accomplishment and all they can say is, “we’ll wait and see what will happen”. So even after all of what is happening they still wish things go wrong for Gaston Browne and this country. That would give them pleasure, knowing that he failed and whether or not it means Antigua and Barbuda failed, that is of no concern to them. And these are the people that want to be the next to run this country. Not you nah nah nah.
First learn to stand up for Antigua and Barbuda and put your politics second to that. You cannot put party before country. Be a TRUE Antiguan and Barbudan for once in your life and not just a politician.

Symbolism don’t increase the quality of life for tax payers and the poor. Neither does it increase wages or earning for anyone. It does not pull people out of poverty, symbolism here is corruption.
You feel so strongly about this partnership, then before you rant about Gaston; address the economics of the partnership with Antigua investing $80 million and getting 30%
only.
Would you give 70% of your newly renovated home to a party that brings you a used bedroom set? No you would not…. Gaston supposed give away 70% of LIAT(2020) after he committed Antigua to over $80 million for LIAT(2020) for two used jets that are leased by Air Peace.
It’s only the naive and the foolish who thinks all the 70% of LIAT(2020) ownership belongs to Air Peace.
