More Fans Allocated for Educational Institutions to Combat Heat

1

In the midst of a scorching heatwave, government schools in Antigua and Barbuda are gearing up for the upcoming academic year with a strategic move to combat the sweltering conditions.

As students prepare to return to classrooms plagued by high temperatures and humidity, an initiative to provide cooling comfort gains momentum.

Last year, a community-led campaign resulted in the donation of fans to schools, offering a respite from the heat for both students and educators.

This year, Chief of Staff Lionel Hurst announced an extension of the effort with a simple yet effective pledge: more fans will be provided, underscoring the commitment to students’ wellbeing.

However, while this approach offers relief, limitations prevent the installation of air conditioners due to their size and quantity.

  1. This is dumb as hell. Fans? Really? To do what, blow dry, hot, humid air? God help those students with asthma. Most of the government schools have solar panels on the roof,Max Wurst. How about using solar powered AC? I bet you haven’t figured out who gets these fans yet,and will leave it up to Education to do.
Besides, you had all summer to come up with something better and produced this laimbrained idea. You collect millions of dollars for Education, why not use it for it’s intended purpose?Give me a break!
