Ms. Antigua, Ashley Boddu is preparing to leave the state for her first international pageant.
Before her departure, she paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Gaston Browne today.
Ms. Boddu will represent Antigua and Barbuda in the Miss Intercontinental pageant slated for January 12th, 2019 in Manila, Philippines.
She was one of three queens crowned last year as part of controversial changes make to the national queen pageant.
The cost associated with the trip nor how the cash-strapped festivals commission is funding it was not disclosed in a social media post from Browne’s office.
