A 34-year-old man has been sentenced to 12 years in His Majesty’s Prison for raping his 14-year-old second cousin.
The incident occurred on August 1, 2020, when the victim’s father took her to visit relatives.

While there, the accused, then 31, entered her room and raped her after her father left.
Despite his denial, the jury found him guilty following a short trial in the High Court before Justice Ann Marie Smith in May.
The victim reported the crime four days later after her parents confronted her about her behavior.
