Man Consumes Wife’s Medication, Attempts Suicide Amidst Her Lingering Illness

In a distressing incident, a man residing in Pigotts consumed his wife’s entire stock of prescribed medication, intending to end his own life.

Overwhelmed by his wife’s prolonged illness, he claimed he could no longer bear the burden.

Authorities revealed that he consumed a six-day supply of medication for Renal, Cardiac, and Hypertension, consisting of Hydrochlorothiazide, Amlodipine, and Aspirin.

The woman, who has been battling sickness for an extended period, recently experienced the loss of her sight, a development that allegedly took a significant toll on her family and her husband.

Before his desperate act, the man, sent a heart-wrenching text message to his family, expressing his farewell and stating, “Family, goodbye. I can’t take it anymore. I am going to kill myself. I just overdose myself.”

Concerned relatives immediately set out to find him and questioned whether he had indeed consumed his wife’s medication.

Regrettably, he confirmed having ingested the entire quantity, leading to profuse sweating and eventual collapse within minutes.

Following necessary treatment, he was admitted to the medical facility for careful observation, with hopes of providing the support and care he so desperately needed.

  1. who feels it knows it…..but suicide is not the solution. Hope the family, friends, community and others rally around to support him and his wife.

  2. How terribly sad.

Now that this awful story has hit the headlines, I’m hoping the church community come together as one to help out.

Sounds like this poor fella was suffering in silence.

Anyone who has cared or is caring for a loved one and who needs 24 hour health or palliative care understands the need to look after their own mental health and well-being as well.

Praying for a miracle recovery for both of them.
