UPP candidate Malaka Parker urges voters to punish government at the polls

St. John’s Rural North candidate Malaka Parker is urging voters not to be distracted by the prospect of another snap general election, saying the move is aimed at hiding government failures rather than serving the public interest.
In a political message, Parker argued that confusion, rushed timelines and political chaos should not be allowed to overshadow what she described as years of neglect and poor performance.

She called on voters to hold the government accountable at the ballot box, rejecting what she described as gimmicks and desperation.
Parker also linked her criticism to wider national concerns, pointing to strained international relations, tighter visa restrictions and policies she said place added pressure on ordinary citizens while protecting the political class.
According to Parker, the burden of rising costs, uncertainty and fewer opportunities is being carried by the public, while leadership decisions continue to undermine economic stability and the country’s credibility.
She said the coming election gives voters a chance to respond directly to what she characterized as reckless leadership and poor judgment, ending her message with a call for people to “pay at the polls.”

Well highlighted your Honourable Malaka Parker. You have just revealed that the ABLP “Giant” has feet of clay, and can easily be toppled if the vast majority of Antiguans vote them out of office in the next few weeks.
We’ll never have a better chance to do so.
Welcome back…
So true along with the hardship coming from the war that will drive up prices and no USA visa to escape it. Along the reckless money destructive trail by Gaston who dubbed himself some sort a finance minister. He just let monies mysteriously varnish and nothing to show for it but his wealth along with his ministers are growing.
If according to Malaka the ABLP government is performing poorly and they call an early election, should not the Opposition UPP be happy that they can beat them at the early election instead of the ABLP staying in office for another 1.5 years to poorly perform?
Plenty people would be elated in the President could call an early election up north to get rid of him. Only in Antigua would an Opposition complain about getting the chance to win government. Make that make sense Malaka.
UPP logics very hard to understand.
UPP WOMAN YA NAR WIN NOTHING!!!!….NOTHIN!!!!!! PRINGLE AND THE UPP IS A BIG DISASTER AND I KNOW ANTIGUA PEOPLE NOT STUPID ENOUGH TO TAKE US BACKWARD…ME GO SEND ONE BIG STONE TO BRIXTONIAN AFTER THE ELECTIONS SO HE CAN WIPE HIS TEARS WITH IT….
Still campaigning for 100% severance payment for former LIAT employees. Former staff are becoming unalived for lack of proper medical care. Gaston Browne, it’s our money. Even the 32% that you offered is ours and if this 32% is a compassionate payment what is compassionate in getting breadcrumbs over ten years. We still suffering while you are getting wealthier each day.
MALAKA PARKER jump from ABLP to UPP to DNA now back to UPP. This woman is an OPPORTUNIST. MALAKA will lose Her deposit. UPP is 15 percent in the polls.
I have repeated these sentiments several times in this media. The roads – All Saints to English harbor, the service roads , America Road , Potters or Burning Flames highway, Sea view farm main road- adjoining factory road to All Saints road, Jonas road – from Mt.Joy service station to All Saints cross road , Pot works main roads, Collin main road , Bethesda main road to English harbor, Fig three drive, Buckley’s/ Swetes village road- From Buckley’s line by kFC to Roman Hill .
Then there is the water situation unsolved. The crime situation, robberies, unsolved disappearances and murders.
The development or restoration of St. John’s. Completion of the development of the port. Complete the dredging of deep water harbor and Paraham harbor. Continue with the housing project. More work needed to be done in the agriculture sector- especially in terms of planning. At this stage the Pm has thd better understanding of agriculture than any of his ministers , so he is my preferred choice of all Antiguan politicians to handle this most important ministry.
Unlike Malaka Parker punishing the ABLP at the polls will be punishing our country. The UPP is just not ready to Govern. However, I am against this snap election because I believe that these is more than enough work to be done to fulfill the 5 years mandate. I also believe that Gaston Browne is more than competent to accomplish enough and regain power after using the full or close to 5 years mandate.
So this has nothing to do with development of Antigua. It throws the country in chaos as rightly stated. The waste of tax money by the incumbent government as is the practice. Put undue pressure on the electoral commission and the voting public. It’s just messy. Look how messy it is , you just had Sir Robin resigning and held a by-election in that constituency. Even before Baltimore is probably seated he will be back at the polls. Does that make sense- knowing you had it in mind to call the election. Why not let Sir Robin and Maulwin resign at the same time …..
UPP supporters, for sometime now been coming on ANR begging the ABLP to call for election, claiming if the PM is so confident in the direction the country is going why not call election. The man decides to make you guys happy since you seemed so confident you’re ready, that this time around you will knock Gaston and his ABLP “evil” party out, as a matter of fact with the return of Lovell, the confidence grew even higher, now it’s just confusion and teary eyes coming from the UPP.
It matters not what steps the woman chose to find truth! She is ACTIVELY SEARCHING TO FIND IT! SHE is not like some people who sit and listen to others instead of fact checking, analyzing, and making critical decisions that will benefit the entire country!
You, on the other hand, accept bribes that benefit you alone! You close your eyes that ABS, Ministries of Agriculture, Tourism, , and the Government Printery are all health hazards! Workers are breathing mold filled air due to moss covered air conditioned units that have not been services since they were installed. Check Passport Office, Check
Imigration Department, to name a few!i
Don’t be fooled by the massive road resurfacing. That should not herald general elections! That should be consistently done!
Water us still a problem!
Browne’s Avenue Clinic and All Saints Clinic are still not addressed!
There are so many issues that are unaddressed being masked by attacking and criticizing the opposition, so that sensible people if caught off guard will be deceived! DON’T BE DECEIVED! YOU WILL END UP LIKE USA UNDER TRUMP’S PRESENT REGIME! YOU WILL SUFFER! YOUR CHILDREN WILL SUFFER IF YOU PUT THESE GOONS BACK FOR ANOTHER TERM! THEY WILL FEEL THEY ARE THERE FOREVER!
BE LIKE ST. VINCENT AND REMOVE THE VIPER”S STING!
NOW IS THE RIME TO SHOW THAT YOU ARE THE ONES TO SHAPE YOUR DESTINY,NOT THEM!
I heard the comments from friends and foe complaining about the issue of Snap Elections in our political system. I also heard my friends on the radio program Constitutional Corner complaining as well. Yes, we do not have a Fixed Date system of election like the USA. Our Constitution gives the Prime Minister the power to call an election at anytime during the 5 year life of Parliament. Any Prime Minister would use that power to his advantage. If there is widespread opposition to that power then it is another issue requiring constitutional reform. In the present system that exist, all political parties should as far as possible be always ready for an election (in particular Opposition Parties) and not cry about the system. It is what we have and nothing about it is unlawful or unconstitutional.
@UPP should be happy …………
It don’t make no sense to you, because you are devoid of it. You cannot think for yourself, ABLP obviously thinks for all of you, you so lack the power to use your brain. You obviously went to Sunday School.

I live in Yorks. I am UPP but she will not get my vote. She is a betrayer and caused Harold Lovell to lose when she and Joanne and Bruce send smith into his constituency to mash up the votes and make sure that he lose. Now she is back in UPP? Please.
BTW: Tell she put the picture how she look now. That is old old picture. People want to see who they voting for. She look like Bramble now.

When Maria post old photos that’s enhanced in Photoshop I do not hear any complaints from you dunces, i work on a computer daily so I know when a photo is airbrushed. You people need to do something more useful with your lives
Malaka Parker, you are brilliant and beautiful…God made you very special. Whether your photo is AI or lA or whatever, they know who you are and they got the message. The truth is like stitches to a fresh wound, it hurts! What the government did at Dunbars Agricultural station , is like treason to me. The destruction of food crops, the blatant disregard and destruction for the nine (9) different types of soils for food production, is still fresh in my mind. Some persons only see a bellyful and what they can get around election time but, there’s a life after the elections are over. There’s a lot of truths to be told but, there’s none soo blind as he/she who can’t see. The truth brings hatred, speak it anyway! Well done Sir Pompey! A lot of people can read…very few understand!
Of course you would know. After all u have 1000 plus monikers on here to respond to the 1000 plus ALP monikers on here. Y’all so annoying on here while both parties full of human waste.
