LETTER: Rallying All Antiguans and Barbudans in Celebration of Prime Minister Gaston Browne’s Success in China

23

Dear Editor,

I write to you as a passionate supporter of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) and a proud citizen of our great nation.

I am filled with immense pride and joy as I reflect on the remarkable achievements of our Prime Minister, Gaston Browne, during his recent official visit to China.

In light of these accomplishments, I am calling upon all Antiguans and Barbudans, especially the supporters of the ABLP, to gather at the airport adorned in our party’s vibrant red colors to welcome Prime Minister Browne home with the honor he deserves.

Prime Minister Browne’s diplomatic efforts have resulted in the signing of numerous agreements that promise to bring substantial benefits to our beautiful twin-island nation.

These agreements span a wide range of crucial sectors, from trade to infrastructure, setting the stage for a brighter and more prosperous future for every Antiguan and Barbudan.

As we prepare to welcome Prime Minister Browne back home, let us come together as a united front, displaying the strength and solidarity of the ABLP.

I urge all supporters to wear our party’s distinctive red colors as a symbol of our unwavering commitment to the progress and success that Prime Minister Browne has tirelessly worked towards.

This is not just a celebration for the ABLP but a moment for all Antiguans and Barbudans to stand united in acknowledging the strides our nation is making on the global stage. Let us use this occasion to demonstrate our collective appreciation for the hard work and dedication of our Prime Minister.

I invite fellow supporters, community leaders, and citizens alike to join in creating a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere at the airport, expressing our gratitude and support for Prime Minister Gaston Browne and the ABLP.

Thank you for providing a platform for our voices, and may we continue to work together for the prosperity and unity of Antigua and Barbuda.

Sincerely, RED IS INDEED BREAD

  1. I write with an overwhelming sense of awe at the entrepreneurial spirit of our Prime Minister, Gaston Browne. In an age where the art of politics seems to blend seamlessly with the finesse of personal gain, our PM appears to be an undisputed maestro. His recent jaunt to China, I’m led to believe, was less about selling the idea of Antigua and Barbuda and more about selling out Antigua and Barbuda.

As a proud citizen, I must commend his unwavering commitment to what appears to be the cornerstone of his administration: self-enrichment. The art of turning political power into personal profit is no mean feat, and our PM seems to have mastered it with the flair of a seasoned connoisseur.

It’s almost poetic to see how our nation’s assets, interests, and perhaps even its soul, are reportedly bartered away with such gusto. One wonders if there’s a secret yard sale going on, where pieces of our sovereignty are up for grabs to the highest bidder – and China, with its deep pockets, seems to be a preferred customer.

Let’s not forget the allegations of corruption that seem to follow such high-stakes dealings like a shadow. But, in the grand tradition of political chess, these are but minor pawns, easily sacrificed in the game of personal aggrandizement. The PM’s alleged focus on lining his pockets over the welfare of the people is a narrative that would make even the most seasoned novelists blush.

So, as we prepare to welcome back our illustrious leader, let’s don our party colors, not just in support, but perhaps in a silent mourning for the integrity and autonomy that seem to be slipping away with every handshake and signed agreement. Can you picture this, Gaston and Brian Stewart-Young meeting Chinese dignitaries, begging for money, even a simple deposit into GBC will do. Just like the millions in charitable donations to Barbuda. Just a deposit.

In conclusion, I extend my most sincere, sarcastic congratulations to our Prime Minister. His alleged endeavors in self-enrichment and selling out our nation are a masterclass in political maneuvering, leaving us common folk in awe of such unabashed audacity.

  2. IT’S OFFICIAL FOLKS, THE GASTONITES, ACOLYTES AND SYCOPHANTS ARE NUTS!!!

Tell us, ah wah Gassssston come back with from the Chinese 🇨🇳 that Antigua & Barbuda can celebrate?

Red indeed means no bread for the many!

    THE DELUSION CONTINUES UNABATED…

    • Read it again (slowly) and check the emphasis on red and the way it is written. Who has a mostly red flag? Could be wrong but I would put this down to Chinese propaganda written by a Chinese who obviously thinks we are a bunch of controllable, do as we are told, idiots.

      • Sorry to burst your bubble, but indeed a large percentage of Antiguans are as you put it, do as you are told, controllable idiots. Adding to that delusional and gullible. Hope you all learning to speak mandarin!

  3. Successful in putting us in bandage…the other lock down is going to be worsè world hunger no freedom climate change agenda wake up all this is setting up the beast of Revelation…..

  4. We need not be rude and out of order my peoples. No matter what we think about PM Browne, he and his delegation has done remarkably well in securing financing and projects that will benefit all of us including most of the humans who are extremely dismissive and insulting. We should be able to criticise our political parties and the Administration without engaging in insults and demelee. Remember it could be any one of us or our children can lead this twin island state one day.

  5. I thought hallucinogens were illegal in Antigua…this writer in on one of these….LSD, mescaline, psilocybin, PCD, ecstasy, ketamine, salvia….
Booking a stay at Crossroads for this Red comrade

  6. Your Prime Minister is leading the country to communism. Is that how everyone wants to be once again enslaved? This article is nothing but propaganda! The people didn’t vote for, expect, condone a shift away from democracy. This exercise is purely at the hands of one man that’s getting extraordinarily rich. Does anyone think this dramatic shift isn’t happening without substantial compensation?

  7. Fair China and Antigua we thy sons the politicians trying to captivate.
A political prosti at their finest spend their time to entertain communism

  8. What rubbish is this? How is this news?? Please for the love of Jesus and the rest of humanity I am begging ANR not to publish such nonsense. We are all dumber for reading this rubbish! What ah retard !

  9. To the writer of that letter. Be careful what you wished for. Red is the Communist Party Colors. One day you would awake to a new language in Antigua,Mandarin.Your damn freedoms would be curtailed. You would be under the rules of the Chinese Communist Party as a new COLONY OF CHINA.

    • @TUNA.
The author of that gushing letter is Chinese. Read again the letter carefully. Would any Antiguan in their right mind expect Antiguans of both political parties to join together to welcome back Gaston Browne at the airport for his so-called ‘wonderful’ accomplishments? The author, if human, was ordered to write that load of you-know-what by their boss, that’s the dictatorship way. If it wasn’t human then we might look at the AI option which is quite likely. Read again.

  10. This is article is a blastid mockery, just a big ole slap right in y’all faces to have voted this man back in power.

Just unbelievable with this blatant propaganda.

Yep, the Gatsonites are high on their horses.. whoi!!!

  11. This article explains why cultism is real. For someone to actually write this delusional, illogical hogwash explains why Jim Jones and David Koresh were able to thrive. This also explains why Donald Trump, a racist, pathological liar and downright criminal continues to thrive in the US.
Folks, Gaston Browne has a vendetta against Antigua and Barbuda. There’s a hollow running through the man which know no limit. In time to come we shall see. It is my thinking that we are so indebted to China, he may not be calling the shots.

  12. @ RED IS INDEED BREAD.
You begin with your stated passionate support for the ABLP which is obvious to anyone who has read the content of your letter. Many of course share your passion and many do not, that is a matter of course. You also say you are a proud citizen of Antigua and Barbuda; you are to be applauded for your pride in Antigua and Barbuda and its citizenship that you hold, whether by birth or naturalization. That is admirable.
You continue, “I am filled with immense pride and joy as I reflect on the remarkable achievements of our Prime Minister, Gaston Browne, during his recent official visit to China.” Of course, you would be. After all, you are a Chinese robot who was tasked into writing that letter. No born and bred Antiguan regardless of his enthusiasm for any, repeat any, political party, writes in that manner, it is a giveaway, and whoever doesn’t see through it has been asleep for too long. Your gushing praise for Prime Minister Browne and his ‘wonderful achievements’ need to be detailed except for leaving Antigua and Barbuda in hock to China forever which of course suits you down to the ground. What are these wonderful benefits that will fall into the lap of the people of Antigua and Barbuda? We need to know. We also know Antigua and Barbuda has fallen into the cuddly embrace of China, woe unto us. I will forever say that I much prefer British colonialism 24/7 to any dictatorship, whether it be Chinese or any other. We could at least express ourselves freely and without fear of being incarcerated for offending the powers that be. Antigua and Barbuda is heading down a slippery slope and if we do not take great care another Grenada-like situation might well befall us. Communism and its oppressive practices are not to the taste of Caribbean people, not even in Cuba where it was foisted upon the Cuban people. You and Prime Minister Browne might pat yourselves on the back for buying ang and selling out Antigua and Barbuda but there is another entity you both should be wary of; she is not asleep, her eyes are wide open shut. That is not a typo.
