LETTER: Chaneil Imhoff – The Clear Choice for St. Peter’s Future

Chaneil Imhoff

Dear Editor,

The time has come for meaningful change in St. Peter. With the passing of former MP Asot Michael, our constituency stands at a crucial crossroads that demands thoughtful consideration of who can best serve our community’s interests.

The 2023 election results spoke volumes. The current caretaker, Rawdon Turner’s performance was nothing short of disappointing, securing a mere fraction of voter support.

This wasn’t merely about numbers – it reflected a fundamental disconnect between leadership and constituents. Time and again, Turner has demonstrated an inability to genuinely relate to the people of St. Peter, a quality that is absolutely essential for effective representation.

In Chaneil Imhoff, we have a candidate who embodies everything our constituency needs. Her political journey isn’t one of convenience – she has been steadfastly committed to public service and community development for years.

What sets her apart is her remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Whether speaking with farmers in Parham, fishers along our coast, or young entrepreneurs in our communities, Chaneil listens with genuine interest and understanding.

Her brilliant mind and analytical approach to problem-solving are exactly what St. Peter needs to address its complex challenges.

She brings fresh energy combined with years of experience in community organizing and advocacy. Unlike the inconsistent messaging we’ve seen from the current caretaker, Imhoff has maintained a clear, humble, and steady presence in our community.

The ABLP has an opportunity to demonstrate true progressive leadership by selecting a candidate who represents both competence and connection. Chaneil Imhoff isn’t just a choice for change – she’s a choice for better, more responsive representation that St. Peter desperately needs.

The people of St. Peter deserve a representative who not only understands their challenges but has the capability and commitment to address them. Chaneil Imhoff is that person, and the ABLP would be wise to recognize what many in our community already know – she is the future our constituency needs.

Sincerely,

A Parhamite

  1. How disrespectful of the current ABLP administration to be announcing a candidate for St Peter when the recent departed Asot Michael hasn’t even been buried, and importantly there is still an ongoing investigation for possible murder.

Gaston Browne has the morals of an alley cat.

The man has no decorum whatsoever …

    • please send the link to the news item officially announcing “a candidate for St. Peter”

You mussa really knock u head on that UPP CAN’T PARK AT EAST BUS STATION!

  2. This sound like Pigmeat wrote this. This is a woman who masquerade as a mental health specialist with no theoretical training or accreditation. This is woman who has been apart of every political party in Antigua, she has no loyalty. This is a woman who will more than likely get less votes than Aziza Lake. For all the talks about Gaston Browne, he is no fool. Why you think Gaston place Lamin up ASE and SL? Gaston know Lamin will be packing his Georgie bungle. Just give me a break Pigmeat

  3. Really now Brix really?? You really throwing anything to the wall to see what “sticks” just to say you are criticizing ABLP. This is actually pathetic really. Sure youou were just looking for an opening to come with this lame attempt to criticize ABLP. This is beyond pathetic even for a certified hater like you.

  4. 👍 Chaneil would be perfect for St. Peter! I’ve seen her in action – always out there talking with everyone, from the fishermen to the young people trying to start businesses. She’s not just showing up for show either – she actually listens and comes up with real solutions. What I love most is how she keeps it real and stays humble while being super smart. She’s been putting in the work for years now, and honestly, it’s time for someone like her to step up. St. Peter needs fresh energy with real experience, and Chaneil brings both. 100% supporting this!

  5. Some of these comments are so ridiculous. This girl has done nothing to anyone and has been giving of herself since she was a teenager. Don’t come on here with your since psychology, we don’t want Turner! He can’t even drive through the village and say howdy.

Come on man! Yall don’t like her cause UPP decided to try to destroy her for not being a yes woman. Think for yourselves!!!

  6. 19 ah plenty…just amazing how they how they’re gonna need the same people they avoided in their everyday living..
    Loaded and waiting…

  7. Melford Nicholas had a similar political journey. The only thing, there was no social media and arm chair pundits to be running their mouths. Let this typing lady live! If she can do the work, let her!!!

  8. I dream of the time when one day that ABLP supporters like @ Chupes and Rovi can respond to what I’ve actually written instead of mindless and unwarranted soundbites.

The lack of scholarly debates on here makes me want to retire. Sheeeesh!!!

  9. @Independent Voter…I don’t do politics but Chaneil and her team are ADVOCATES for Mental Healrh Swareness. Nobody has ever claimed to be a professional. You are finding issues where none exist.

    Chupz man!!

  10. These jump shippers have the morals of an alley cat. Sometimes to listen to how some of them Kiss the PM u know what, I’m surprised their lips are not stuck to his behind.

  11. Melford did not come to labour without qualifications like the recent turn coats. You can’t tell me they haven’t benefitted from the fruits of labour
