Villagers, from Johnson’s Point and Crabbe Hill Over-40 Community Group, raised over $9,000 to help Crusader Radio personality William ‘Zizi’ Thomas battle prostate cancer.
The money was raised at a food fair and was presented to Zizi’s mother, Elsena Gillon, by the group’s president Sean Bailey on Sunday.
The money is intended to help for medical treatment and other expenses.
On January 14, Zizi left the island for medical treatment in New York, U.S.A.
Two weeks prior, two fundraising activities staged by Thomas’ colleagues, friends, and audience members, was held to help him raise money to meet anticipated expenses.
