Damian Marlando, 40, of Independence Avenue, is currently assisting the police with their investigations after he was found with a .22 Pistol in his possession.
Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department discovered the illegal firearm hidden inside a room he occupied at Burton’s Apartment around 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
The firearm was seized and he was arrested and taken into custody. Further investigations are ongoing into the matter. To date, the police have successfully removed ten illegal firearms, along with a total of 330 rounds of ammunition off the streets. This includes three Automatic Pistols, three Revolvers, two Modified Flare Guns, one Shotgun and one Imitation Firearm.
Police are making a further appeal for members of the general public to take full advantage of the Gun Amnesty, as well as to provide useful information that can help to remove illegal firearms and ammunition off the streets.

This “wanna-be gangsta” did not know about the Gun Amnesty?? It ends in a few days. Anyway take heed as to what became of the other “wanna-be gangstas” in the Lightfoot area when they opened fire on police.
