ABS gave long serving employee Andy Liburd a cake and the head of news there told him Bon Voyage as he co-presented the news for the final time last night.
Liburd did not say what he would do next. He has joined a long list of qualified Antiguans and Barbudans who have been frustrated at ABS under the current management.
Burford was able to muster that Andy has been “impactful and professional”.

Liburd says he plans to be a”thorn” in the side of the entity which is funded by tax-payers.
ABS is on a search for staff as its newsroom reels under the pressure of the mass exodus of staff.
Burford remains on the job despite criticisms that staff is unable to grow under his stewardship.
