Immigration officer crashes vehicle mere yards from his workplace on the Sir George Walter Highway

An Immigration officer is said to be nursing injuries after being involved in a serious traffic accident only a few meters away from his workplace on the Sir George Walter Highway. CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHATSAPP GROUP.

It is unclear what caused the accident; but photos in circulation show the white motorcar on its roof, pisitioned over a small culvert on the western side of the road. Parts of the car were strewn over the roadway, as well.

A source says the man’s airbag was deployed as a result of the impact, after he allegedly overtook six vehicles and the car flipped four times.

The extent of the driver’s injuries could not be ascertained, nor any other information about the accident, since messages to the Head of the Traffic Department, ASP Rodney Ellis, were not answered.

  2. Careless driving continues to be the hallmark of a lot of drivers in this country. Some of you have zero brains to assess that if you overtake 6 vehicles on such a busy highway it is highly likely that you will get into an accident……….

    Raheem Toussaint I hope this serves as your wake up call. From the moment you got that car people spoke to u about your aggressive senseless driving.

    You could’ve killed Ms Quinland and her Child. Everyday you speed up and down that road without conscience. Think about the damage you’re creating to your family and other motorist alike.

    Your behaviour in general is one of a attention seeker. Please use this as a way of learning.

    Mr Ellis please suspend his license for a few months. He needs a break from operating such deadly weapon.

  5. Overtaking more than 2 vehicles in one manoeuvre should now be made illegal in Antigua 🇦🇬. I witness 3-4 overtakes in one go on a regular basis. MADNESS!!!

    Impatience kills, but many drivers don’t think it will happen to them …

  7. Why do some persons have to drive so fast in Antigua? There are no places in Antigua too far away. I have driven from Moreno Valley in California to Aurora,Colorado 15hrs plus.Take it easy on the roads and get to your destinations in one piece.If you are late,you cannot get there early.So do not kill yourselves and others by trying to beat time.You would end up being the loser.

  8. Police…build an unshakeable case and prosecute to fullest extent of the law please.

    Ideally ban from driving for at least a year, fine and jail or community service time.

    Police & DPP, please don’t let this be another of the ‘insufficient evidence’ so drop everything and let the driver go back to his reckless ways, cases.

  9. Far too many drivers in Antigua can’t drive properly. Embarrassingly so. Inept, impatient and dangerous + poor law enforcement.
