Hospital name to be changed again to “The Sir Lester Bird Medical Center”

A further adjustment to the re-naming of the hospital on Mount St. John will shortly take place.

Its name is to be shortened to “The Sir Lester Bird Medical Center”.

Meantime, the removal of cataracts and other eye delicate operations will begin at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center in September 2021.

The surgeon will be present for three days and will complete approximately 60 operations during that time. Appointments will be taken shortly.

The Sir Lester Bird Medical Center is negotiating with a reputable Medical Clinic in the USA to establish a Cardiac Center in Antigua.

Heart surgery will then be undertaken in the twin-island state, eliminating the need for costly travel abroad by heart patients.

The Cardiac Unit design will be among the advancements that will further transform the Medical Center.

In related news, three doctors who practice at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center have recently returned from additional training abroad, paid for by the Gaston Browne administration.

The Cabinet also approved “study leave” for a youthful technician who will proceed to UTECH in Jamaica for further training.

    If they are reputable, please share their name.

    So the not insignificant cost of new signage, stationary, creation of new logo etc. etc. will be taken from the Health Ministry budget? The hospital? PM is donating? Where exactly, when pensioners getting paid later & later, water not running regularly etc.

  4. In May the name was change. Now in August they are changing the name again. What a waste. Then again this Administration with all the University Degreed Graduates. They have lost their ways. Look at the measures taken at the Transport Board some weeks ago. Where by Taxi and Bus Operators could not go to that establishment to do business. Unless they were Vaccinated. Then they came back and changed their foolish,pig headed decision. No thought processes went into that decision. Where are all the forward thinkers in this Administration? Are their brains dead?

    • When man begins to exalt himself to the position of a God, the real God always puts him to confusion before everyone’s eyes. Just look at all the obvious blunders they are making and you’ll realise that God never sleeps.
