One of the Hispanic men on trial for murder pleaded guilty at the High Court this morning.

Thirty-two-year-old Angel Nieves threw in the towel after the court heard evidence that he killed 37-year-old Miguel Olivero in 2013.

On Tuesday, a witness testified he saw Nieves and co-accused 42-year-old Facundo Guerrero attack the deceased with machetes at the La Loba bar on Dickenson Bay Street.

The court heard, the wounded man was bleeding profusely from several wounds about his head and neck and one of his arm was almost severed.

A doctor testified Olivero died at the hospital after surgeons tried unsuccessfully to suture the wounds and stop the bleeding.

The trial continues against defendant Guerrero.
