The principal of Ottos Comprehensive School has expressed deep concern over the traumatic impact of gunshots fired during the school’s sporting activities at the YMCA.
Over 80% of students and teachers were absent the day after the incident, prompting the cancellation of the week-long activities.
Principal Forster Roberts stated that the school community remains shocked and worried about safety.
Despite efforts to secure the event, including teachers manning the gate due to the absence of police support, shots were heard during the games.
This incident adds to a series of challenges the school has faced over the years.
