It is alleged that, on December 3, the constable – attached to the Grays Farm Police Station – was issued a 9mm pistol, along with 15 rounds of ammunition, to go on duty in the district.

Sources allege that some time after he returned to the station, the corporal on duty requested the firearm.
Reports say the officer told the corporal that he had left the firearm on the bonnet of the police vehicle, and it apparently had fallen somewhere.
Reportedly, several searches were conducted and the firearm was not recovered. And sources say it is feared that the constable might have given or sold the firearm while out on duty.
Accordingly, an internal investigation has been launched into the disappearance of the firearm and disciplinary action appears to be likely, since it appears that he has caused discredit to the organization.

That officer need to fired!
It is possible he arrived at the station and was doing something and place it on the bonnet of the vehicle and forget it there. It’s possible. But knowing that SATAN have shares in Gray’s Farm Police Station, it is difficult to believe that especially if that officer is known to be SATAN secretary. You always expect the worst from Gray’s Farm Police Station. Mark you, if you find one good one there you find plenty. It appears to me, if the Corporal didn’t ask for the firearm, he wouldn’t say nothing and when a check is being made later to account for the firearm that’s is when they would realized a firearm is missing causing administration to blame everybody. Brother man if you know you sell the firearm return the money and collect the government gun. Any body the gun kill out there the blood will be on your shoulder.
Whether the officer sold it or lost it the end result will be the same. It will be decided that they are free of wrong doing. Stamped signed and sealed by Atlee Rodney.
Very unfortunate
Whatever the reason for this officer to lose his gun is cause for concerned ! I’ve never heard of such. Another gun in the hands of criminals. Sad , sad !!
So how did the gun get on the hood of the car? Bwoi make it make sense.. 😂.
This is just laughable, but have deadly consequences. Antigua already have enough problem with illegal guns, and now we have a police gun running loose in the streets?
You can’t make this shit up, for real.
When the gun and ammunitions were issued was a holster issued as well? Common sense would dictate that the gun be placed in its holster and not on the hood of a vehicle. Now if the gun disappeared did the 15 rounds of ammunition disappear as well? If he wasn’t asked for the gun would he have reported it lost or just keep quiet and hope he is never asked about it? He could at least come up with a better excuse than this gun on the hood story
Why did you remove the gun from its holster? This is the only question he should be asked before he’s fired!
Trigger happy policeman 👮🏾♂️
He should be terminated with immediate effect.
And that police officer should be fired forthwith. That is so careless it is not funny.
Not.only should he be terminated but also face the full brunt on the law. Disgusting
Me feel the officer sell um…..they don’t get paid that well and I know lots of them that always seem to be in financial crisis..
For sale: Used 9mm pistol, good condition. Previously used in law enforcement. Comes complete with 15 rounds. Priced for quick sale. Serious inquiries only.
For the person inquiring about the ammunition if it is missing to. The ammunition is placed into the gun magazine and then inserted into the firearm. If the gun lost, the ammunition also lost because the ammunition is inside the gun. I learnt from a very confidential source that the Police Force do not issue holsters to the officers. Most of them with holsters purchase theirs online.
“It is feared the constable may have sold the gun”. I think this is irresponsible and unethical reporting. We should be reporting the facts as they are, facts, not possibilities or probabilities. Let the readers make there own conclusion. Could his story be true. I know that I have lost on different occasions phone and shoes off my car. I once stop a car with a knapsack on its roof. The Police investigation will try to decide what happened to the gun. Do not pour fuel on the fire.
And before some genius respond to my comment and ask if i think it is okay for the constable to loose the gun. I am commenting on the language of the article, not the actions of the constable. I do not waste my time Stating the obvious, I do not write the same comments like the majority, even if I think the same. Like, loosing a gun is a serious offense, blah blah blah. That gun may end up blah blah blah, and can kill blah blah blah.
But for the record, my opinion is that if he accidentally lost the gun, he should be dismissed. And any government official/agent who sells or gives away a government weapon should be criminally charged.
