LOOP-The 2024 hurricane season has arrived with forecasts of above-normal activity, making it more important than ever to be prepared.

If you’re in Antigua and Barbuda, knowing where to find the nearest shelter can make all the difference during a major storm.

The National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) has advised that if your home becomes unsafe during a hurricane and staying with family or friends is not an option, there are 50 structures designated as official shelters.

Here’s the list, organized by district, to help you find the nearest safe haven.
