Grenada’s 50th Independence Anniversary Commemorative EC$50 Banknote
to begin Circulation
Basseterre, Saint Christopher (St Kitts) and Nevis, 7 August 2024 – The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) in collaboration with the Government of Grenada has issued a $50 circulation banknote, in limited supply, to commemorate Grenada’s 50th anniversary of independence (golden jubilee).
The $50 commemorative banknote is printed on polymer and is the same size as the $50 banknote series currently in circulation. The banknote is legal tender which means it could and should be used for every day transactions at shops, stores and supermarkets.
The Government of Grenada in collaboration with the ECCB has also made available a special Grenada $50 notepack for persons who wish to purchase the banknote as a keepsake. Interested persons may go to www.grenadaturns50.gd/purchase.
The $50 banknote will be issued only in Grenada but could be used in any of the member countries of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union. The Grenada $50 will be available to the public via commercial banks and credit unions in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique from Thursday, 8 August 2024.

This is fantastic! I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these $50 banknotes. It’s a great way to celebrate Grenada’s golden jubilee.
As a collector, this is a must-have! I’m definitely going to purchase the special Grenada $50 notepack. Well done, ECCB and Grenada!
Love that it’s printed on polymer.
Kudos to ECCB and the Government of Grenada for this initiative.
So excited that the $50 banknote will be available in Carriacou too!
COMMEMORATIVE BANK NOTES: …INTELLECTUALLY DISINGENOUS…?
Thos that manage the ‘…EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK (ECCB),’ appears to be ‘…INTELLECTUALLY DISINGENUOUS.’
COMMEMORATING INDEPENDENCE OR THEN GRENADIAN LEADERSHIP…?’
DECEPTIVE EXPLOITS
Seemingly, collaboratively operating under the guise of ‘…INDEPENDENCE COMMEMORATION,’ yet with apparent ‘…DECEPTIVE EXPLOITS’, they have not only reported the printing of the ‘…Polymer EC$50.00 Bank Notes,’ but also carefully ‘OMITTED’ from the news story, the ‘…IMAGES,’ thereon.
WHO ARE THEY?
Close observation showed images of the two ‘…GRENADIAN LEADERS OF GRAVE AND GREAT NOTORIETY:’
(i) ‘…The RUTHLESS AND DEADLY MONGOOSE GANG-RULE’- Sir Eric Matthew Gairy: and
(ii) …The ‘…BRUTALIZED FREEDOM-FIGHTER/LEFTIST REVOLUTIONIST- Maurice Bishop.’
UNSPEAKABLE ATTROCITIES…? …FUNDAMENTAL QUESTION
Since they may have forgotten the ‘…UNSPEAKABLE ATTROCITIES’ perpetrated against the innocent, helpless, hapless, and defenceles ‘…Grenadian People,’ it begs the ‘…FUNDAMENTAL QUESTION:’ ‘…Just what is being ‘…COMMEMORATED?’
KNOW THE HISTORY.
